The FIRST of Paul McCartney’s HIGHLY ACCLAIMED UK ‘FIREMAN’ Projects, ’Strawberries, Oceans, Ships, Forest’ was released by PARLOPHONE, UK in 1993 as a Special LIMITED EDITION TWO **CLEAR** VINYL LP Set. The album was issued ONCE ONLY in this Clear Vinyl Format, and due to its very BRIEF release SOLD OUT very quickly, therefore being missed by many McCartney collectors at the time.
The Two HEAVYWEIGHT CLEAR Vinyl LPs are on the IMPRESSIVE Custom RED and GREEN FIREMAN labels, with both labels displaying the official PARLOPHONE logo. There are NINE tracks (please see scans for full track listing).
The official stamped matrixes of this one and only Vinyl pressing are: Side 1: PCSD 145-D-1-1/Side 2: PCSD 145 C-1-1-1/Side 3: PCSD 145-B-1-1/Side 4: PCSD 145-A-1-1.
The Albums are protected in their ORIGINAL plain white, die cut, inner bags and are housed in their ORIGINAL Thick Card GLOSSY, SINGLE Red and Green Sleeve, with the official Parlophone logo printed to the reverse of the sleeve.
The record labels and both Vinyl Discs are in FLAWLESS, DAY OF RELEASE in mint and UNPLAYED condition - As NEW. The sleeve is a BEAUTIFUL example in near mint condition. ALL edges are perfectly FLAT and UNDAMAGED, including the opening edge, NO splitting or tearing to any part. The Spine edge is PERFECT and clearly reads ‘the fireman strawberries oceans ships forest’, with only the lightest impression where the record has been stored in the sleeve during the past 15 years.
RARELY OFFERED, this official UK Parlophone album is an IMMACULATE example and a MUST HAVE for the many Serious McCartney fans who missed it at the time!
