This item is a first press mono LP released in 1964 on Capitol Records by The Beatles entitled ‘Meet The Beatles’. Record label and number is Capitol Records T 2047. This LP has the scarce label variation that contains no BMI or ASCAP credits. It is speculated that 20,000 copies were manufactured with this label. HOWEVER.... record itself is in G condition with many hairline scuffs (too many to count) but the record played through with no skips on my Denon turntable however there is some surface noise in the background. Record sounded surprisingly good considering the amount of scuffs on the record. Record labels have wear with a name written and also rubber stamped on both labels (see photos). Mono record cover is in VG+ condition with flaws being some wear at the top left corner at the top of the cover on the front and some discoloring on the back of the cover at the lower right corner near the RIAA logo (see photos). There is a number ‘3’ by the RIAA logo. Original Capitol Records inner sleeve is included. See photos for song listings. This rare first press album is being sold for its rarity and not its condition with no reserve and a low opening bid and makes a nice addition to your Beatles collection until and if you can find a better copy.
