Description
THE BEATLES - 'THE BEATLES' MILLION SELLERS'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st pressing 4-track EP dates from initial December 1965 release and is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: GEP 8946
Both labels carry the incorrect 'Golden Discs' title, together with the 'Sold in UK...' text & 'The Gramophone Co...' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: 7TCE 888-1 & 7TCE 889-1
Stamper codes: 2/GO & 4/GP
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover. This copy was exported/purchased in the U.S. and is still encased within its original store shrinkwrapping.
It also comes with an attractive original ex-shop stock 1960's record store paper bag.

Labels: NEAR MINT
A superb set with just two small and faint light spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole only.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Clean, deep-glossy playing surfaces which display some light wispy hairlines beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp but are free from any scuffs or deep scratches.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This copy has clearly been barely played and my play-check found no evidence of any groove/play wear whatsoever. In fact, apart from a single soft 'pop' on 'Can't Buy Me Love', there really is little to fault on this great sounding EP.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
Extremely unusual to find an EP of this vintage in shrink, so I opted not to remove it for this sale. The shrink has contacted a little which has distorted the cover somewhat and there is some wear to the opening edge. Apart from that and a small import stamp on the rear panel, all appears to be in otherwise 'Excellent' condition.
Store Bag: MINT
