This is an auction for the picture sleeve only.

The 7” 45 RPM record is NOT included.

This is the Beatles picture sleeve for Misery, Taste Of Honey, Ask Me Why and Anna. It was issued by Vee Jay Records in March of 1964. It is a sleeve that was issued as a “Souvenir of Their Visit to America” and it was Vee Jay single # VJEP 1-903.

This sleeve is made of a heavier cardboard and has a light crease running diagonally across the VJ Records logo and the VJ single number on the front surface. The crease is more pronounced on the back. The top edge is rubbed noticeably and the bottom and back edges have light wear. For an overall idea of the condition please review the scans.

Qualifier: Please note that this EP has been counterfeited in the past. Although I am a huge music fan and have an extensive record collection I have no way of being certain that this is an original sleeve. I do not have provenance for this item. It is however constructed as the originals were. See below

This is the only Beatles EP issued by Vee Jay. Known reproduction has a poor (posterboard) reproduction on the cover, original is pulp board with paper slicks glued on. Print on the cover of the reproduction is out of focus.
