Description
Just for some fun this week, I decided to list some Beatles novelty 45’s. Some are promos recorded on the same smaller labels onto which The Beatles had some 45’s issued. Other listings are some of the hardest 12” singles to find. Have fun this week!

Beatles Novelty 45 All My Loving The Dowlands Tollie PROMO 1963
Released in England within one month of The Beatles’ version, The Dowlands actually charted at number 33 with this version.
Astute collectors will realize that this 45 was the second title issued on the Tollie label, as indicated by the catalogue number, Tollie 9002. The Beatles’ Twist and Shout 45 was the first with the catalogue number, Tollie 9001.
Sleeve: Generic white sleeve in good condition.
Vinyl: Between VG+ and Excellent. Depends on whether you’re looking at it under a direct bare bulb.
Labels: NM/ EX. A little dirtwear on Side 2 label.
Plates: Monarch Records pressing. Has the machine-stamped “MR” in a circle as well as the hand-etched delta symbol preceding the catalogue number.
Funnily, I bought this copy on eBay a few years ago from a kid who listed it as being by The Downloads! Reminded me of two kids playing guitar at our open mall here in Ithaca, singing Paul Simon’s “Kodachrome.” I got a chuckle when they sang, “I got an iPhone camera.”
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
