  THE BEATLES - I'll Cry Instead / I'm Happy Just to Dance with You
Released in 1964, I'll Cry Instead is a reflection on the Beatles' country-western roots. Lennon would later come to say that the song was a reflection on himself: he was frustrated with the lack of freedom the Beatles' explosion in fame had brought the group. The 'B'-Side, I'm Happy Just to Dance with You was written as a so-called "formula song" for George to sing, with Lennon quipping, "I never would have sung it myself." (Though, personally, I've always liked it!)
This copy is in superb condition with disc and picture sleeve alike very well taken care of.

Labels: NEAR MINT-

The labels themselves are in fantastic condition with very little noticeable wear, if any. The main detracting feature are a series of ink dots from the manufacturer.

Visual: NEAR MINT-

Even under LED light, there are very few problems with this disk. I can scarcely see any hairlines, and there are no significant scratches at all. The only comment I have is that there is a bit of dust in the grooves--this disk would greatly benefit from a good cleaning. (Unfortunately, I do not have a cleaner capable of cleaning 7" disks at this time)

Audio: NEAR MINT-

As expected, there is very little noise during both tracks. There is some static on the run out grooves.

Sleeve: NEAR MINT-

The original east-coast picture sleeve is in fantastic shape, especially given that these were not shrink wrapped and is essentially a glorified piece of paper. The corners are sharp, with only the slightest bend in the upper right, and the sleeve lies very flat. There is even very little wear to the seams and the mouth. The only detracting feature is a small amount of ring wear on the 'A' side, noticeable right above Ringo's head.
