THE BEATLES - Four by the Beatles
Released in May of 1964, Four by the Beatles features four songs that had previously been imported to the US as Canadian singles. Confusingly titled near identically to 4 by the Beatles, it was the first of the two Capitol Beatles EPs.
This example is in well-loved condition, with damage to both the sleeve and disk. Fortunately, the 'B' side still looks presentable, all things considered. Overall, this would make a great starter copy to fill the hole in your collection.
CONDITION
Labels: VERY GOOD-
The labels have noticeable rub wear and aging on either side. That being said, they text is fully legible and apparent, and there is no writing on either side.
Visual: GOOD+
The disk has many hairline marks visible to the naked eye. On both sides there are a few light scratches. On the 'B' side there is one moderate scratch near the start of the first track.
Audio: VERY GOOD-
Surprisingly, the disk sounds relatively decent for its appearance. There is noticeable static, but nothing that overpowers the tracks.
Sleeve: GOOD-
The 'A' side is heavily damaged, with about 10% of the slick torn near the bottom and left side. Side 'B' looks much better; however, it still shows wear from handling and age. Unfortunately, the entire bottom seam is also split--however, the top and spine are still intact, though there is heavy paper loss to the spine.
