Description

THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
An original first-pressing mono copy with a barely-played disk, suitable for audiophile listening!
John Lennon once said that Mono is the only way to listen to "Sgt. Pepper's"!

*Because so few albums were sealed in the UK, I eliminate the "Mint" grade for a more conservative scale.
Original cutouts are included, original plain EMI sleeve is included.

CONDITION

Labels: EXCELLENT

A great pair of dark black labels with vivid lettering. Several thin spindle-marks reflect light when under a lamp.

Visual Side 1: EXCELLENT+

Visual Side 2: EXCELLENT

It is getting more difficult every day to find original copies in this condition. Side 1 looks very nearly immaculate with only some very faint wisps. Side 2 looks almost as great, but it does have slightly more handling and an extremely faint hairline (such that it only reflects bright light).

Audio: NEAR MINT-

The reproduction is rich and warm, with nearly no interruptions. The only notable background noise that I heard during the playback came from the opening grooves on the first side (without audio). This is an incredible disk!

Sleeve: VERY GOOD+

This copy is in great shape and definitely sits at the upper end of the grading spectrum. The corners are in great condition, and the seams are all solid and clean. There is a small amount of ring impression on either side, and a slight bend to the spine, however, both are not problematic issues. The gatefold looks great with very shiny and smooth surfaces.
Cutouts: NEAR MINT-
Comes with original cutouts in near perfect condition, with just a small amount of rubbing on the upper edges.

You will definitely be hard-pressed to find a better copy.
