Description
Here's an original 1963 Swan 45 of "She Loves You" by the Beatles. This record was pressed in very small quantities and generated no chart activity, because almost no one in the US knew who the Beatles were in 1963. Once Beatlemania hit at the beginning of 1964, Swan began to mass-produce the single, resulting in the common black label issues. The white label issues have been widely bootlegged, but this one is 100% original with "Mastering Reco-Art Phila." in the matrix. This copy has "MR" in a circle in the matrix as well, indicating it was pressed by Monarch in Los Angeles. The record grades in the lower VG to VG- range, no serious or deep scratches, but it has mostly general wear and scuffing. I have listened to both sides of this single and it I would put the play grade higher than this... it actually plays fairly well. As you can see from the photos there is some writing and a stain on the label from an old sticker. Very rare Beatles 45!!!
