THE BEATLES - 'PAPERBACK WRITER'/'RAIN'
This NEAR MINT UK 1st pressing dates from its initial June 1966 release and is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5452
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK...' text and 'The Gramophone Co..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'Rain' label.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18380-2 & 7XCE 18381-2
Stamper codes: 1/GH & 1/H
The disc is housed within its original green & white Parlophone company sleeve.
Also included is an original ex-shop stock 1960's record shop paper bag.

A pristine pair with just two tiny spindle trails around each completely unworn centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which are MINT & totally unmarked in strong daylight. There is s small mark in the 'A' side run-out and a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp, but no other traces of wear on this 45 year old beauty.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This amazing sounding copy has received just two or three plays at most on top-quality equipment. Both sides play with immense power and bass response unmatched by any other pressing since. Ringo's drums on 'Rain' have never sounded better.
Cover: NEAR MINT
Perfectly clean & flat with just an unavoidable faint disc impression from storage but no writing, tears or seam splits.
