Description

This is a mint promo copy of Paul McCartney’s “Thrillington”, Capitol LP, ST-11642.

This is the original purple label released in 1977, and has never been played.  This is the album of all “Ram” songs done by an orchestra that Paul conducted and recorded.  Paul did this album to fulfill his contract obligation to Capitol records, just prior to going to Columbia records (although he came back to Capitol later).  Paul did a great job of recording and releasing this album incognito…such a great job that for the longest time people didn’t really know that it was Paul.  Therefore the album did not sell well, thus making it rare and hard to come by.  This copy is a promo copy with the promo hole punch on the cover and the promo asterisk in the run off groove. 

This is truly a collectors item and a must have for collectors of McCartney.  I’ve had this stored in my collection since it’s release.
