Very first UK press of Venus And Mars with 2 posters and 2 stickers
Has the hard to get hold of matrix numbers YEX 945-1U and YEX 946-1U Also has A PORKY PRIME CUT etched into the A side run out and M Room etched into the B side run out
The cover has been hand signed on the front in black biro by Denny Laine – my friend was in a semi pro band that supported Denny at the Crewe Railway Club in 1998 and he got some items signed for me including this cover. It is 100% genuine.
The vinyl is in superb condition - to the naked eye hardly a mark to be seen, I have not played it for ages but the last time I did (a few years ago I had the time to play and grade most of my vinyl) I noted that playback was immaculate apart from 2 clicks at the end of Call Me Back Again. I doubt that this will have changed as it's been stored correctly, though a light clean may be in order.
The hand signed cover is in excellent condition, just a little shelfwear (corners/edges), nothing worrying. The spine is fully readable
The card inner (with the 3 cut corners) would have rated as near mint but has come away at one side - it just needs a touch of glue I have transferred the record to a WH Smith emitex style inner
The 2 stickers are present and are in excellent condition
The 2 posters are also present and in excellent condition - no writing, pin holes, glue residue etc
All in all a fantastic 1U/1U first press with the added bonus of being autographed by Denny Laine
