1963 UK *1st PRESS* MONO LP
Black & GOLD Parlophone label - PMC 1202
With incorrect 'Dick James..' publishing credits on both labels.
This copy features a 'grooved' side 2 label seen only in initial 1st pressings.
'MT' tax/price code on side 1 label.
Correct, early front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' mono cover with 'Angus McBean' credit in the extreme lower right corner.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT -
Minor hole-wear but no writing, marks or missing paper.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Extremely bright & clean surfaces which retain their deep gloss shine. Apart from 2 light thin, light fingernail marks on side 1 and a few fine stylus hairlines in strong daylight, there are no significant marks or scratches. Viewed under halogen light, some light inner-sleeve removal hairlines & an occaisional light mark is visible, but there are no major marks anywhere on this well-looked after copy.
Play: EXCELLENT
This copy has clearly received just careful play on good quality equipment as there is no crackle or groovewear distortion on any track. Even the easily worn innermost tracks: 'Twist & Shout' & 'Please, Please Me' play remarkably cleanly & clearly. I noted only 3 soft ticks between tracks 6 & 7 on side 1, apart from that both run-ins and all bands play without interference.
Cover
VERY GOOD
A clean & bright front panel which retains a vibrant, glossy laminate with no 'thumbnail' or any major creasing. There is some rubbing & wear to the corners, but the lower seam has no flaking or missing laminate. The rear is clean & white with no age-discolouration, marks, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are intact & in-place and the spine is fully worded and in perfect condition.

Some minor discolouration but no tears, writing or missing paper.
