CONDITION-

LABELS: VG-

The stylish 1960's stereo Parlophone labels are bold, clean and the silver font clear. This record has been carefully played by its owner. No names or stains are present but there is some whitening around the spindle hole.

VINYL: overall VG

Beautiful jet black sheen on thick quality vinyl. Both sides of the record has a few needle marks and the odd scuff but no feelable or unsightly scratches. Under strong halogen lamp light this record shows fairly mild sleeve removal marks.

SLEEVE: Fair

This iconic and rare 1st generation stereo sleeve is still bold and free from fading. That said it has seen better days! There are opening marks and the bottom is split. The back cover has no writing but the flip backs are damaged. See pics.

AUDIO- VG+

The lovely depth and richness of well kept 1960's stereo on thick quality vinyl throughout.

Side one is beautifully clear with just a little crackle and a few unobtrusive ticks in between tracks and during parts of 'Ask Me Why' and 'Boys'. However, quieter tracks such as 'Anna' and 'Misery' play almost perfectly with John and George's beautifully warm voices and those brilliant harmonies.  No distortion on louder tracks 'I Saw Her Standing There' and 'Please Please Me', just a rocking lead guitar from George and Paul's ever punchy bass.

Side two is similar. All parts clear, separated and undistorted. Highlights of 'Love Me Do' and the show-stopping 'Twist and Shout' sound a dream. There is some light crackle and the occasional light pop on the quieter tracks but no loud clicks, ticks jump or sticks. The perfect playing copy of the album The Beatles made just before they were about to change the world.
