1969 UK 'ONE-EMI-BOX' *MONO* LP
**ULTRA-RARE PRESSING**
One of only three mono issues on the 'One EMI Box' label in October 1969, this is one of the rarest 1960's UK mono pressings.
This extremely rare 1969 MONO pressing is on the UK black & silver 'One-EMI-Box' label: PMC 1202
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with the small mono logo.
Complete with original red & white EMI advertising inner sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-2N
Stamper numbers: 15/RLA & 6/RM

Visual: VERY GOOD
This disc has clearly been played many times but retains high-gloss surfaces with an occaisional fingernail scuff & light scratch.
Careful inspection under a halogen desk lamp reveals numerous hairlines scratches but no other major signs of wear.
Quality, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides without dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD
Played many times, some intermittant peak wear is evident together with an occaisional moderate click.
Some light background is audible between tracks on side 1 only, but there are no jumps, repeats or other major audible faults.
Cover: VERY GOOD
This late, 'thin' card stock example bears general to moderate handling & storage wear with no major faults.
The front panel has some light creasing to the laminate with minor corner & opening edge wear.
The rear panel displays some handling discolouration but has no writing or marks.
All flipbacks are intact & both spine & seams are unsplit.
Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
