Description
For sale is a complete and original MONO UK 1st pressing of The Beatles 1st studio album, Please Please Me.
This copy comes with the original front-side laminated Ernest J. Day & Co flip-back sleeve with the Angus McBean photo credit placed in the bottom right corner on the front side. The vinyl has the extremely sought after 1st edition black labels with gold Parlophone logo and text and Dick James publishers credit for A1, A2, B4 & B5. Also included is an extremely rare Emitex inner sleeve with bold print and 'Patents applied for' text.

Condition:
Vinyl: GOOD
Visually the vinyl is OK. Several noticeable marks can be seen on both sides. There is a subtle warp to one edge. The labels show signs of scuffing around the centre hole and the name 'PAT' can be seen on side 1. GOOD. The audio is characterful. There is the expected background crackle and a pop here and there but it is still a really pleasurable listening experience. There are no skips, jumps or repeat clicks. GOOD.
Sleeve: GOOD
The front of the sleeve looks better than the reverse. The front retains a glossy finish with bright colours. There are several laminate ripples and some lift to the bottom edge. The rear has tape residue on three edge, signs of discolouration and an address written in ink. A section of flip-back is missing. It is still capable of comfortably holding a record. The spine, corners and edges show signs of storage wear.
Inner Sleeve: GOOD +
The original polythene lined die-cut inner sleeve looks great. It is very clean, has minimal discolouration and shows only minor creasing. There are a couple of small tears to the open edge and the polythene lining has come unstuck on one side. Also included in the sale is an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve to help protect and preserve the fantastic record.
This record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
