THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
This EXCELLENT UK MONO pressing of their debut album dates from Summer 1963 on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1202
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK...' text but have the 'Recording First Published' text & 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' rims
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label
1st pressing matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N
Stamper codes: 1,11/RDD & 8/RGG
Vinyl weight: 158g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed 'large' mono cover & original poly-lined inner-sleeve

Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & bright with some light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which retain all of their factory-fresh shine with just one or two light paper scuffs from inner-sleeve removal in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp does little more than highlight these minor blemishes, adding only a sparkling rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT -
This copy has received a moderate amount of play but is without any major deterioration to the sound quality. My single careful play-check detected a touch of playwear on the two innermost tracks on each side. but no clicks, pops or any other audible distractions throughout on this respectable sounding copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A strong and unworn example which retains a richly coloured unworn high-gloss front panel, completely unscratched and free from any storage rubbing or ringwear. There are two light 'thumbnail' wrinkles towards the front opening edge but little else to suggest this cover is 50 years old.
All corners are sharp and unworn and both opening edges are undamaged. The exposed rear panel is clean overall with the only blemish being a small name written in red in towards the upper right corner. All flipbacks are fully intact & unworn and both seams are smooth & unstressed.
The spine is in pristine condition and is fully laminated & worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & unyellowed with some moderate storage creasing but no major faults.
