THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
1969 UK 7th PRESSING **MONO** LP
**NO 'SOLD IN UK..' TEXT**
This was the final version of the yellow and black Parlophone label to be produced before being repleaced by the 'One EMI Box' label in late 1969.
This version is indentified by the omission of the 'Sold in UK.' label text which was removed from all EMI product in June 1969.
Most sold at this time were stereo, mono copies on this label are scarce.
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with the 'small' mono logo.
Complete with its original red & white advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-2N
Stamper numbers: 1,9/RHG & 6/GA
Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
Clean and bright surfaces bearing some light surface marks and somme wispy paper hairlines are visible under a halogen desk lamp.
There are but no heavy marks or deep scratches and both sides of the disc lie100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT MINUS
All the music plays loud and clear without any crackle or groovewear distortion on any track.
There is the occaisional soft 'tick' between some tracks but no clicks, pops, hiss, jumps or repeats.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
The front panel is glossy and unscratched bearing just some light creasing towards the lower left corner but no 'thumbnails'.
The corners and opening edges display light touches of shelfwear but no bumps, tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel is clean and white with no marks, writing or missing paper.
The 'flipbacks' are all intact and the seams and spine are strong,unstressed and unsplit with no missing paper or laminate.
