This excellent & rare 1963 1st pressing is on the UK red & silver Parlophone label: 45-R 4983
The 'Please, Please Me' label carries a genuine 'pointed-end' Factory Sample sticker.
Both labels have 'Dick James..' publishing credits, 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..' rims
The side 1 labels omits the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text, but side 2 includes it.
The 'MT' tax/price code is visible on the 'Ask Me Why' label.
The 'PT' code is stamped in both run-outs.
Housed in an original EMI 'Top Pop' promotional sleeve.

A fine, bright & clean 'Please, Please Me' label.
Just a small stain near the centre on the 'Ask Me Why' label, but no touch-up, writing or missing paper.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Very clean, bright & glossy surfaces bearing just a few small & light fingernail scuffs in daylight but no other significant visible wear.
Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just some light sleeve removal/paper hairlines but no other marks or any scratches.
Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
A superb sounding disc which has been only rarely and carefully played.
The overall sound is full, clean & clear with no trace of groovewear distortion throughout.
Aside from some normal light crackle during the run-ins and faintly during some of the quieter passages on P.S. I Love You', there is little to fault.
Some light creasing & storagewear but no tears, writing or splits.
You are unlikely to have the opportunity to acquire such an early copy again.
