'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
1963 UK '4th' PRESSING **STEREO** LP
This rare 1963 '4th' stereo pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042
The labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' but carry the 'Recording First Published..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The early 'MT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'E.J. Day' cover.
Complete with original poly-lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GR & 1/M
Labels: EXCELLENT
Light spindle trails but no writing or black ink applied to hide wear.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Despite frequent play the surfaces are clean and retain a respectable gloss finish.
Some light surface marks and paper hairlines are visible together with an occaisional light scratch, but no major visual faults.
Very thick heavy vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides with no dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS
Clear, warm and fresh stereo mix with no crackle or groovewear distortion in either channel on any song
There are a few light ticks on 'Love Me Do' & between some tracks but overall very little lessening to the sound quality.
There are no jumps or repeats.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
A very strong and clean example with an unscratched laminate bearing just a few light edge wrinkles but no 'thumbnails' or heavy creases.
There is a small piece of missing paper to the lower left corner but all others are in fine shape displaying minor storagewear only.
The front opening edge is clean, sharp and totally unworn with rear edge bearing just light wear only with no tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel is clean and bright white with no age discolouration, stains, marks, writing or missing paper.
There is light wear to the lower flipback but the other are in place and undamaged and all seams and the spine are perfect, strong and unsplit.
Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp & audibly at volume on high-end audio equipment
