Beatles first US release - Please Please Me / Ask Me Why VJ 498 BEATTLES spelled with 2Ts NM-
First US release as The Beatles in 1963. Issued by VJ Records who did not know how to spell their name.
Matrix info: Audio Matrix ARP 63-2967 / 63-2968 RA
The record and labels are NM- with glossy sheen to vinyl and only a few hairline scuffs. Plays quiet.
Perry Cox had a bid of $2444 on a similar copy that did not meet the reserve. The reserve on this record is below ths bid.
On Jun-08-09 at 22:37:21 PDT, seller added the following information:I am attaching 2 additional scans from a different scanner.
Please revise the description of the labels to VG+ due to some slight label wear on the top of side 1 and bottom of side 2. Also there is what appears to be a machine made scratch on the label at 2 O'Clock and a small scuff in at the top of the rainbow band.
The disc is in extremely nice condition with a some hairline scuffs that don't affect play. The record is guaranteed.
