The Beatles - "John Paul George Ringo in the 1970s"
Ultra-Rare Unofficial Record LP
Melvin Records Cat # MR-12-S
1980 Release
Here is an ultra-rare Beatles "unofficial release" on Melvin Records circa 1980. I'm not a pro on grading records, but the vinyl and jacket are very clean. Only defects I can see are a small bend in the lower right corner of the front cover and some peeling paper along part of the edge on the rear cover (see photos). Album is a mix of hard-to-find tracks and interviews. Honestly don't know too much about this release (except that it's pretty rare), so I am including a link from a Beatles Bootleg site that has a bit more information. Album jacket is designed as a mock newspaper with "current day" (circa 1979/80) news stories about the Beatles, which are kind of cool since it refers to John in the "present tense" (since he was still alive at the time of the album's release). Not much else I can say about the LP since I really don't know anything about it (save for what's on the link below). Looks like one of these sold on Ebay in 2012 for $56, but couldn't find any other sales since then. Anyway, since I don't collect Beatles boots, I don't have much of a need for this (never even listened to it...although it looks pretty cool), so giving this a low starting bid and relatively fair Buy It Now.
