See my other items for more rare Beatles LPs! Here’s a very nice copy of the rare mono pressing of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. It’s on the Capitol label, number MAS 2653. This LP was the second-to-last Beatles album to be pressed in mono in the US. The mono format was abandoned entirely in 1968, meaning this rare issue was only in print for a few months. The album is full of interesting mix differences when compared to the standard stereo version. The vinyl grades VG++ on side one and a full Near Mint Minus on side two. There is a spot of light paper scuffing on side one, which is the reason for the VG++ grade. It does not affect play at all. I test-played numerous spots on the record and it sounded great. The cover is in nice shape, no seam splits, very light rub wear, overall a very clean cover. The original insert and psychedelic inner-sleeve are present.
