Description
Beautiful NM copy of the 1972 Capitol Record Club pressing on the orange Capitol label (ST-8-2576) with the “Manufactured by Longines Symphonette” print on the left side of the label. This is the only Beatles title issue known to exist on the orange label.
Unlike the standard commercial Capitol cover, the border is black and has the three “slanted bars” at the upper left (indicating a Capitol Record Club pressing). The cover number in the lower right is “16” (inside a white box).

Vinyl: Near Mint (highest grade I use on non-sealed albums). The vinyl retains its luster, with a few minor handling scuffs. If it was played at all, it couldn’t have been more than a couple of times.
Labels: Gorgeous on both sides and zero spindle wear. The close-up picture of the Side 2 label shows that the play hole on the label was slightly enlarged, showing a little of the vinyl on the right. There’s also a tiny sliver of vinyl still intact - highly unlikely it would still be there if the record had been played repeatedly.
Cover: Overall a nice VG+. No writing, scuffs or seam splits. No visible wear on the front, slight ring wear on the back. There is a slight bend/crease on the upper right corner, and there are small “dings” on all four corners and along the top, bottom and left spines.
The top of the back slick wasn’t folded completely tight against the cardboard cover when it was glued down. Viewing it from the back, you can see a small 5” area on the right where it was folded over (shown in the close-up picture #8). It has a few creases but it’s still fully intact.
