The Beatles ‘REVOLVER’ album - considered one of most ICONIC and COLLECTIBLE Albums of the 20th Centurey - was released by Parlophone UK in 1966. EXTREMELY SOUGHT AFTER by Collectors around the World today, we are privileged to offer this BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED MONO example in the most REMARKABLE, ALMOST NEW condition all round – that is the Record Labels, Vinyl Disc, Outer Garrod & Lofthouse Picture Sleeve, AND, if that’s not enough, Superb Sound Quality to match - Without doubt, the FINEST EXAMPLE that we have seen in over a decade. From our vast experience of handling Beatles Rarities, albums in this True AMAZING TOP condition hardly ever come on to the open market, and we doubt very much whether another one matching the SUPREME condition of this one will become available again for a very long while! Album Description:
This BEAUTIFUL and extremely well cared for ORIGINAL 1966 UK Parlophone 12" MONO Heavyweight Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK…..’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Side 1 matrix: XEX 605-2 and Side 2 XEX 606-2.
Side 1 stampers: 4/GTM and Side 2: 1/GPD.
The embossed ‘KT’ tax code visible to the centre of the side 1 record label.
The album comes in its ORIGINAL Plain White Inner Bag, printed ‘Made in Great Britain’.
…And is housed in an ORIGINAL, Front LAMINATED, FIRST ISSUE Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, which is in EXTRAORDINARY condition from corner to corner, printed ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve, and with three IMMACULATE flip backs to the reverse.
Audio Quality:
The Sound Quality matches that of the Visual Grading - ALL tracks of this BARELY PLAYED Vinyl LP play BEAUTIFULLY - nothing less than a SUPERB, POWERFUL Mono sound, with NO faults or background crackle, even between the tracks. The previous owner informed us that he played the album twice only since it was purchased.
Album Condition:
As you can see from the detailed scans provided, both record labels are in EXCEPTIONAL, NEW LOOKING near mint condition. A BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED FRESH set of UNDAMAGED record labels, with no discolouration or fading to any of the printed text - look just as they would have done back in 1966 - with no more than just a couple of barely visible, insignificant, spider trails (only visible when tilting the labels around in the light).
BOTH sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT vinyl surfaces GLEAM LIKE NEW – it is obvious that the record has been BARELY PLAYED since 1966, and it would, therefore, be unjust to grade the Vinyl Disc in any less than a whisper short of mint condition – hard to fault the GLISTENING Vinyl surfaces in any way, as all that is barely visible are a couple of faint surface hairlines to either side.
The Original Plain White ‘Made in Great Britain’ inner bag is in SUPERB, CLEAN condition, with NO seam splits, handwriting or tearing, just a little inevitable mild creasing.
The absolutely OUTSTANDING Original First Issue Garrod & Lofthouse Laminated Mono Picture sleeve matches the description of the Record labels and Vinyl Disc, and corner to corner the sleeve is in SUPERB near mint condition. The Laminated front panel is SNOW WHITE and VERY FIRM - still retains it DEEP GLOSS SHINE. The reverse panel of the sleeve is BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED. All three flipbacks are UNDAMAGED, with NO Yellowing. The spine edge looks NEW, no cracking, flaking or damage and is clearly printed ‘Revolver-The Beatles’.
For Collectors looking for a SERIOUSLY TOP INVESTMENT QUALITY FINAL UPGRADE of this SIGNIFICANT Original Beatles UK Album, we can confidently recommend this one, and can only speculate if we will ever see another to match the SUPREME condition of this BEAUITFUL example.
