The Beatles ‘REVOLVER’ album - considered one of most ICONIC and COLLECTIBLE Albums of the 20th Century - was released by Parlophone UK in 1966. EXTREMELY SOUGHT AFTER by Collectors around the World today, we are pleased to offer this VERY NICELY PRESERVED example.
Album Description/Condition:
This BEAUTIFUL and extremely well cared for ORIGINAL 1966 UK Parlophone HEAVYWEIGHT 12” MONO Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK…..’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Both record labels are in IMPESSIVE NEAR MINT condition. A VERY NICELY PRESERVED FRESH set of UNDAMAGED record labels, with no discolouration or fading to any of the printed text, and nothing more than just a couple of light centre spider trails.
Side 1 matrix: XEX 605-2 and Side 2 XEX 606-2.
Side 1 stampers: 6 TP and Side 2: 6 GRH.
The embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code visible to the centre of the side 1 record label.
BOTH sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT vinyl surfaces are in beautiful NEAR MINT condition, STUNNING vinyl to both sides, showing a couple of the faintest surface hairlines to either side. There are NO deep scratches or scuffs visible, this is a very well cared for album. .
Audio Quality:
ALL tracks play PERFECT - A SUPERB, POWERFUL Mono sound, NO clicks, NO skips, just very mild background crackle to the quieter tracks, a great MONO sound quality.
The album comes in its ORIGINAL ‘Made in Great Britain’ Inner Bag, which is in RESPECTABLE excellent condition, NO seam splits, and just some age discolouration.
…And is housed in an ORIGINAL, Front LAMINATED, FIRST ISSUE Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, which is in SUPERB condition from corner to corner, printed ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve, and with three UNDAMAGED flip backs to the reverse.
The front of this IMPRESSIVE Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in SUPERB excellent plus plus condition. The Laminated front panel is WHITE and FIRM - still retains it DEEP GLOSS SHINE. The reverse panel of the sleeve is in excellent plus plus condition, showing a clean black panel, with just a couple of light handling finger marks. All three flipbacks are UNDAMAGED. The spine edge is UNDAMAGED and clearly printed ‘Revolver-The Beatles’.
