RINGO STARR
"IT DON'T COME EASY" b/w "EARLY 1970"
7" single...pressed in Australia...1971...on Apple (distributed by E.M.I. [Australia] Ltd. here...catalogue number: APPLE-9474)...Second pressing...
This 45 was pressed with at least 2 different label variations! This is LABEL VARIATION #2.
LABEL VARIATION #1: ...all label text is in upright/NON-italic text...the most obvious determining factor is: 1). on the 'A' side, in the production credits, in the words 'an E.M.I. Recording', the 'a' in 'an' is in lower case....2). and on the 'B' side, in the same place, it has "Produced by Ringo an E.M.I. Recording' all in one line. - There are also spacing differences (to LV#2 below) in the typesetting of much of the text, but these are small compared to the above two differences.
LABEL VARIATION #2: ...all label text is in upright/NON-italic text...the most obvious determining factor is: 1). on the 'A' side, in the production credits, in the words 'An E.M.I. Recording', the 'A' in 'An' is in upper case....2). and on the 'B' side, in the same place, it has "Produced by Ringo" and "An E.M.I. Recording" on two separate lines. - There are also spacing differences (to LV#1 above) in the typesetting of much of the text, but these are small compared to the above two differences. LABEL VARIATION #3: ...I believe there may have been a 1973/74 re-issue with the words 'An EMI Recording' (note: no full stops in 'EMI') placed to the left of the centre-hole...but I don't have one here to verify that.Never in pic sleeve here...comes in its original (and correct style for 1971) Aussie Apple company sleeve.
