Beatles, Radio Station Promo, 33 RPM, Size of a 45

This is a very unique find.  This is a radio station promo which contains 12 commercials.  Two of the commercials are for The Beatles.  One is for A Hard Day's Night and the other is for the movie Help!.  That's just two of the gems on this 33 RPM, 7" EP.  It is in EX+ condition.  All cuts are listed in the description below.

12 Commercial Cuts

Side A:

Cut 1 - Bobby Dean, Mersy Darling Contest.   This is a radio station contest for the Bouncing Bobby Dean Show.  Listeners are asked to pick up their free Mersy Darling Stickers at the radio station (KTKT), place it on their car.  They are then instructed to listen to the Bobby Dean show.  If Bobby calls out their sticker number, the listener needs to call in to recieve a free 45 record.  This is a great promo, complete with a loud announcer, background music and incidental sounds to punctuate particlars!

Cut 2 - ABC Friday Night - This is a promo announcing ABC 's Friday night lineup.  The lineup included:  The Green Hornet, Time Tunnel, Milton Berle Show, and 12 O'clock High.  "One of seven nights to remember, all in color (wow!), this season on ABC"!

Cut 3 - Summer Love/The Big Beat - This cut promoted two movies in one big show.  These were your typical teenage romps featuring 18 top recording stars like Judy Meredith, John Saxton, John Wilder, and Jill St. John to name a few. 

Cut 4 - Shindig - Commercial promoting ABC's new Wednesday night show, Shindig.  Promoted some of the biggest names in the music business--Bobby Sherman, The Blossoms, Bobby Freeman and The Beatles.  It ends with - "Dig it every Wednesday night on Shindig"

Cut 5 - A Hard Day's Night - Promo for Beatles movie of the same name.

Cut 6 - Help! - Promo for Beatles movie, Help!

Side B:

Cut 1 - Honda Holiday - Sounds like the Hondells singing about riding your Honda motorcyle on a "Honda Holiday".

Cut 2 - Heart Association / The McCoys - Rick Derringer speaks for The McCoys about the Heart Association.  His voice is over the background music of Hang On Sloopy.

Cut 3 - The Byrds / Pasadena Rose Palace - Commercial for a Byrds concert at the Rose Palace in Pasadena.  This is complete with an echoing voice of the announcer giving the details if the concert.  The song "8 Miles High" plays in the background.  Concert also included Alfred King and AB Sky.

Cut 4 - Who / Great Shakes - Keith Moon, of The Who, sings a little ditty and then talks about this product called Great Shakes and its two new flavors.  This is worth buying the record for!

Cut 5 - PSYCH-OUT - This promotes the movie PSYCH-OUT.  "Make the scene with the rebels, the hippies that think that flower power rules" - it's a PSYCH-OUT.  A Dick Clark production filmed entirely on location in "Hippie Heaven".  Starring Dean Stockwell and Susan Strasberg.

Cut 6 - Cream / Falstaff - Cream sings a song about Falstaff Beer in typical Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker style.

This vinyl is in "EX+" condition.  It has a nice sheen. There is some very light surface noise that you only notice in quiet passages and between cuts.  I see no scuff or scratches.  This is truly a find.

U.S. Locations:

Purchases sent via Media Mail.  If you prefer a different delivery type please let me know. 

Shipping for one LP is $4.00.  Each additional album purchased at the same time is $1.00.  LP's are bubble wrapped and sent in a LP mailer box.  The vinyl is removed from the cover to prevent splits during shipping.

Shipping for one 45 is $3.50.  Each additional  45 purchased at the same time is .25 cents.  Vinyl is bubble wrapped and sent in a 45 mailer box.

International Locations:

Purchases sent via First Class Mail International, if permitted.  If you prefer a different delivery type please let me know.   You will be invoiced for the cost of shipping plus $3.00 for packing and handling.  I will always look for the least expensive shipping option.  Vinyl is removed from cover to prevent splits during shipping.  LP's/45's are bubble wrapped and shipped in a LP or 45 mailer box.

Bidding and Payment

Please request an invoice after you have won a bid.  Let me know if you are bidding on more than one item.  I am willing to hold invoicing for up to ten days so that you can combine purchases for lower shipping costs.  Once you have completed all of your purchases please request an invoice. 

Once invoiced, please pay within 72 hours (3 days).  If unable to make that deadline, contact me.  I will work with reasonable requests.

I leave positive feedback as soon as you pay.  I feel it's important to give feedback in a timely manner.  Please contact me if you are unhappy with your purchase.  I will make it right.  I value my good rating and appreaciate the opportunity to to fix anything that would give me a rating less than positive.

Grading

Vinyl and Covers are inspected visually only, unless otherwise stated. I attempt to listen to each record, but it is not always possible.  I never use stock photos.  The pictures in my listings are of the actual item.  Grading of vinyl and covers is based on Goldmine Standards. 

Following is a brief description:

"SS" - Still Sealed

• For the collector who demands nothing but perfection.

"M" - Mint

• These are absolutely perfect in every way.  Mint should never be used as a grade unless more than one person agrees that the record or sleeve truly is in this condition.

"NM" -  Near Mint

• Vinyl - In factory fresh condition, like new.
• Covers - Have no creases, ring wear or seam splits of any kind.

"EX+" - Excellent plus

• Vinyl - close to new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play.
• Cover - close to like new with only superficial signs of use.

EX - Excellent

• Vinyl - A used, reasonable copy.  Shows slight signs of wear.
• Cover - Shows slight signs of wear.

VG+ - Very Good Plus

• Vinyl - May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience.  Slight warps that do no affect the sound are okay.  Minor signs of handling are okay, too, such as tell-tell marks around the center hole, but repeated playing has not misshapen the hole.  Light surface noise may be heard between tracks or during quiet passages, but still plays quite nice.
• Cover - Should have only minor wear and may have a split less than one inch long.  Also, a VG+ cover may have some defacing such as a cut-out marking. 

VG - Very Good

• Vinyl - Significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.  Still plays great.
• Covers - Will have many signs of human handling.  Ring wear may be present as well as some creases visible.  Seam splitting will be more obvious, and it may appear on all three sides. 

Good

• Vinyl - Good does not mean bad!  The record still plays through without skipping so it can serve as a filler until something better comes along.  But it has significant surface noise and groove wear, and the label is worn. 
• Cover - The cover has ring wear to the point of distraction, has seam splits obvious on sight and may have heavier writing, such as, for example, huge radio station letters written across the front to deter theft. 

Poor to Fair

• Vinyl - Record is cracked and/or impossibly warped or skips repeatedly when an attempt is made to play them
• Cover - So heavily damaged that it is almost unrecognizable.
