Beatles Rare 1st Press UK LP Revolver EX ’66 PMC 7009 Parlophone MONO
Original UK LP released in 1966 on the Yellow and Black Parlophone Records Label. Cat: PMC 7009. Matrix numbers: YEX 605 - 2 R TR C 1 9/ YEX 606 - 2 RLR 6. Comes in gloss cover with back flaps. Cover made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London.
The biggest miracle of Revolver may be that the Beatles covered so much new stylistic ground and executed it perfectly on one record, or it may be that all of it holds together perfectly. Either way, its daring sonic adventures and consistently stunning songcraft set the standard for what pop/rock could achieve. Even after Sgt. Pepper, Revolver stands as the ultimate modern pop album and it's still as emulated as it was upon its original release.
Tracks : Taxman/ Eleanor Rigby/ I’m only sleeping/ Love you to/ Here, there and everywhere/ Yellow submarine/ She said she said/ Good day sunshine/ And your bird can sing/ For no one/ Dr. Robert/ I want to tell you/ Got to get you into my life/ Tomorrow never knows. There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some light crackles in parts most noticeable between tracks and is in Excellent condition. Gloss cover with back flaps has a small sticker on back bottom edge, light ringwear and a few light marks and is in Excellent condition.
