Description
From the estate of a lifelong, Detroit-area collector comes this Beatles album titled "Revolting." This is a vintage copy in GREAT condition. Belonged to a family member who was a Beatles fanatic from the moment the Beatles came on the scene in the '60s.
Album is an import, back cover states "Manufactured and Distributed by Apple Records (New Zealand Ltd) 1969. Album is 33 1/3 RPM and "Long Play." A 2-Record Album with a total of 51 songs listed on back cover. Album is in a sealed, plastic cover, though different than the thin, tightly sealed wrapping albums I used to buy in the '70s were like - this is more like a heavy plastic, and although it's sealed on all 4 sides, the end of the record album cover where the records slide out is opened. Not sure if this is how albums were produced in NZ in the '60s, or if this is a used copy sealed later for re-sale. My guess would be the latter, but again, that' s just my guess.
The collector was fanatical about his collections, and as such kept things as pristine as possible. The album itself looks amazing! He's one of those that handled albums by the edges only, stored them a specific way, etc.
I have quite a lot of these old, vintage Beatles albums - some imports, some sealed. No idea if albums are even worth anything any more (I ditched all mine a couple decades ago), but thinking Beatles memorabilia may be collectible, so I'll put a few out on ebay, and if they sell, great, if they don't, I'll figure something else out. Will begin with low starting bid.
