This auction is for The Beatles album Revolver. This edition is an Original Master Recording LP produced by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs, No. MFSL 1-107.  It is half-speed lmastered and pressed in Japan on heavy-duty virgin vinyl.

Revolver is the seventh album by The Beatles, released on 5 August 1966. Many of the tracks on Revolver are marked by an electric guitar-rock sound. It reached #1 on both the UK chart and US chart and stayed at the top spot for seven weeks and six weeks, respectively.

The album is often regarded as one of the greatest achievements in rock music history, and one of the Beatles' greatest studio achievements.

In many respects, Revolver is one of the very first psychedelic LPs – not only in its numerous shifts in mood and production texture, but in its innovative manipulation of amplification and electronics to produce new sounds on guitars and other instruments. Specific, widely-heralded examples include the backwards riffs of "I'm Only Sleeping", the sound effects of "Yellow Submarine", the sitar of "Love You To", the blurry guitars of "She Said, She Said", and above all the seagull chanting, buzzing drones, megaphone vocals, free-association philosophizing, and varispeed tape effects of "Tomorrow Never Knows".

This pressing was made in Japan, using a half-speed mastering process and specially plated stampers, on heavy, thick premium virgin vinyl.  Revolver is one of the finest studio recordings by the Beatles EVER. With this mint audiophile edition, you will (finally!) hear all the detail in the music: every vocal harmony, every guitar overdub and every detail from the original recording studio.  This album is a must for every serious Beatles fan, every serious audiophile, and anyone who wants to hear just how good vinyl can sound.

I have always taken fastidious care of my records.  This album is from my personal collection.  This record has been played seldomly, maybe a few times, if that many, always using a high-quality, properly-adjusted tonearm and cartridge, and only after dry cleaning carefully with a carbon-fiber brush. Please bid with confidence, knowing that you are going to own a truly rare item in exceptionally good condition, sounding just as good as a sealed copy, but at a much lower price. NO RESERVE.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab uses an album’s master tape(s) combined with a unique procedure known as "half-speed" mastering, which literally slows down the cutting system involved in mastering the vinyl so that musical information can be transferred from the source tape to the lacquer with greater precision. This advanced mastering technique adds substantial refinements in the vinyl compound itself and improves methods of plating the lacquer. The result is a significant improvement in overall performance from the vinyl medium." The vinyl records are pressed on "High Definition Super Vinyl" by the Victor Company of Japan and are then packaged in "Special Static Free Dust Free" inner sleeves with the finest heavy-duty protective packaging.
