This record in this condition, both record and cover is unheard of. Italian first pressing Beatles MONO “Revolver “ PMCQ 31510 . Matrix XEX 605 T1 and XEX 606 T 1 then 25-8-66 stamped in deadwax. That is the date of pressing in Italy. August 25,1966. This record will blow away ANY Beatles Revolver album you’ve ever heard. Vinyl weighs 195 grams ,that is what showed up on a jewelers scale. You can feel the weight of this record. If you’ve ever seen one of these from an Italian seller the condition is always poor, this one is close to pristine . Not only the record ,but cover as well. I collect Italian first mono pressings , but most of the time the condition has been horrible . I have two Revolver albums left. I sold a VG one on eBay a couple of years ago for $250. I believe it was . That one played great, but this one is a grade higher. Difficult to explain why these Italian PARLOPHON ( no E ) sound so great. But here are a couple of things to consider . Italy is not a native english speaking country , hence they sell fewer Beatles albums ,meaning the stampers and mother’s are not worn out to death, the other issue and this is huge . They didn’t fiddle with the master tapes in a bad way like they did in America . Capitol destroyed Beatles albums . The Italians ( Carish ) did an excellent job, this is as close to sounding as a studio playback imaginable . It is not buried in echo ,compressed etc. TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS “ is a rarity, people are just not aware . Everyone thinks the U.K. 606 -1 matrix is the end all, wait till you hear this one. It’s nog as long , I clocked at 2:54 , I can assure you you’ll be impressed. Record is very very quiet . If I were to grade it on a 10 scale it would be visually Vinyl 8.5/10 . Labels 8.5/10 ,Cover 8.5 / 10 . Sound 10/10 That makes it a strong EX , Cover has crease on lower left bottom. I can assure you if it was a seller in the UK OR ITALY It would be MINT . Reality is EXCELLENT. SHIPPING USA $5.00 with insurance. Rest of world $15.00 cannot insure , but will have tracking ,insuring to other countries is a nightmare . I’ve gotten burned a few times frim the UK and Italy . Read my feedback. Over 1400 sales ,NOT ONE negative or neutral in twelves years ,and it’s been almost all Beatles albums, mostly U.K. which are great Records if you own a NM first pressing . I do ,and I may list a few , I’m getting to old for this .
