1966 UK *STEREO* 1st PRESSING

**RARE 'E.J. DAY' STEREO COVER**

This excellent 1966 1st STEREO pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 7009
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' the text and 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
This side 2 label carries the early 'Dr. Robert' spelling & 'KT' tax/price code.

Housed in the very rare front laminated, tri-flipback 'E. J. Day' printed stereo cover.
Complete with its original white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve (NM).

Matrix numbers: YEX 606-1 & YEX 606-1
Stamper numbers: 2/MD & 3/RR

Visual: EXCELLENT

Bright, clean & deep gloss surfaces bearing just a few light fingernail scuffs and paper hairlines visible directly under a halogen desk lamp.
There are no heavy, deep or 'feeleable' marks or scratches and both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.

Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS

Rarely & carefully played on good quality equipment, all tracks sound warm and clear with no trace of crackle or groovewear distortion on any track.
Both run-ins and all bands play extremely quietly without any clicks or pops, and there are no jumps or repeats anywhere.

Cover: EXCELLENT

This rare example is clean & strong, displaying just a few light spine wrinkles but no 'thumbnail' creases or major wear.
The corners are all clean and square with minimal shelfwear and both opening edges are clean, sharp and unworn.
The rear panel is black & clean with a hint of storage wear but no marks, writing or missing paper.
All 'flipbacks', seams and the spine are undamaged, unstressed and unsplit with no missing laminate.
