THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'

UK 1969 *STEREO* PRESSING

This excellent, hard to find variant is the final version of the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 7009

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text & any tax/price code.

'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims around the perimeter of both.

Housed in a thinner card, front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a frontal stereo logo.

Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 605-1 & YEX 606-1 (the same as the 1st pressing)

Stamper codes: 3/TT & 2/HA

Disc weight: 143g

A very clean & vibrant pair with just a small 'nest' of spindle trails to each centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Both surfaces are extremely clean, bright & unmarked in strong daylight with all of their 'as new' deep gloss shines fully intact.
Close inspection directly beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a sparkling rainbow gloss & some wispy paper hairlines but no other signficant signs of wear.

Play: EXCELLENT

This great sounding copy has received some careful play on high-end equipment and plays throughout with no groove or playwear in either channel.
My careful play-check at volume found just 2 light 'pops' on 'And Your Bird Can Sing' and some light/normal background between tracks.
However, I feel that neither of these minor blemishes spoil the overall listening enjoyment

Cover

EXCELLENT -

A clean, white and strong example with just minor handling & storagewear but no major faults.
The front panel is clean with no yellowing to any part with a bend to the lower left corner but no other significant signs of wear.

All corners and both opening edges are undamaged and the rear panel is clean & black with no marks writing or missing paper.
Both seams are smooth and unstressed and the spine is fully worded and undamaged.

Inner-sleeve

VERY GOOD

Fully intact with just the inevitable light disc impression and a few small marks but no other major faults.

Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp based on UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
