You will be bidding on an original mono vinyl first pressing of The Beatles 7th LP "Revolver". This features the original remix 11 of "Tomorrow Never Knows". On the first morning of pressing Lennon was listening to a copy at home and was not happy with the mix for this song feeling that the sound effects throughout were too high up in the mix. He called George Martin who had the presses halted while he remixed the track. Those already pressed made it to the shops but pressing continued with the standard remix 13. Remix 11 only appears here, on very early first mono pressings and has subsequently never been officially made available, not even on CD. The mix also has a slightly different ending with the jangling piano continuing after the fade.
This copy also features the "Dr. Robert" credit on both label and sleeve. This was later corrected to read "Doctor Robert".

Vinyl:
Fair - Both sides have surface marks and this results in some considerable background crackle. The record does not jump or stick and the music sounds crisp and clear throughout. Both sides have been cleaned using the Moth MkII Pro cleaner and tested on a Trio KD 1033 deck. Before placing too high a bid on this copy I would urge you to request of me a sample MP3 which I will send to you, this being a direct recording of this actual copy being played. This will enable you to hear before you buy.
Labels:
Good/Fair - Yellow and Black Parlophone, clean with some spindle wear on side 1 more on side 2 (see pics). Side 2 features the incorrect "Dr. Robert" credit, which was changed to "Doctor Robert" on later pressings.
Sleeve:
Very Good - The laminated flipback sleeve has maintained it's sheen, some ring wear on the rear. As per the label this features the incorrect "Dr. Robert" credit.
Inner Sleeve:
Plain white paper with "Made In England" in blue to the left and "PATENT NO- 1,125,555" to the right. All my records are cleaned and supplied in brand new polylined inners as well as outers.
