Beatles Ringo Starr Goodnight Vienna Original Apple LP Still in Original Shrink

In this auction:

·       “GOODNIGHT VIENNA”  LP by Ringo Starr  

·       This LP is Apple Records SW - 3417.

·       It was released November 18, 1974.

·       This LP had a GREAT lineup of other recording artists who contributed to the making of this LP: Fellow Former-Beatle, John Lennon (who also wrote the song “Goodnight Vienna”), Elton John, Dr. John, Billy Preston, Harry Nilsson, Nicky Hopkins and others.

·       And some GREAT TUNES including “Snookeroo”, “Oo-Wee”, Ringo’s rendition of Hoyt Axton’s “No No Song”, “Only You” and others.

·       This is a “DESIGNATED PROMO” ISSUE, because it has the PROMO PUNCH HOLE at the top right corner.

·       The COVER is in NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION and STILL in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. The shrink wrap has “breathe holes”. There is just very light wear on the bottom right corner at the opening and very small pushes on the two corners at the opening. There is a 5-inch split in the front shrink wrap that extends from Ringo’s out-stretched arm up to the “A” in “STARR” near the top edge.

·       The COVER has the Apple Records logo on the rear at the lower right corner.

·       The VINYL is NEAR MINT MINUS with just a few very light surface hairlines. The vinyl has the Custom Apple “Ring Nebula” labels. 

·       The vinyl was issued in a PHOTO/LYRICS SLEEVE WITH CREDITS on GLOSSY PAPER. It has 2 small tears at the top opening, a 4-inch split on one edge, and a 3-inch split on the bottom. There is also a corner fold/crease (probably from the production when the record and sleeve were inserted into the cover.) This is probably not the inner sleeve that was issued with this LP, because it does not have the “Designated Promo” punch hole through it.
