1965 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* LP
**NEAR MINT**
This outstanding UK 1965 1st mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1267
Both include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in the rarer front laminated, tri-flipback 'Ernest J. Day' mono cover.
Complete with its original white 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1
Stamper numbers: 2/LH & 3/LL
This rare example carries slightly different label designs: Side 1 has a 'Sans Serif' font whilst side 2 has a 'Roman' font.
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Both sides are 'as new' viewed in direct natural light, displaying just a single light & faint inner-sleeve removal mark on side 2.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals some inner-sleeve storage marks and wispy paper hairlines but no further wear.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This copy has received just a few careful plays on good quality equipment and there is no trace of background noise or groovewear distortion anywhere.
Even the easily and most frequently damaged 'Michelle' plays perfectly cleanly & clearly.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently & there are no clicks, jumps or any other major faults anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
A fine example of this rare cover with an bright, glossy unscratched front laminate which bears just a single tiny 'thumbnail' crease on Paul's shoulder.
All corners are perfectly clean, square and unbumped and both opening edges are clean, sharp & undamaged.
The rear panel is clean & with no marks, writing or missing paper & all flipbacks, both seams & the spine are in perfect condition.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT PLUS
Crisp and clean with just some natural age-toning & storagewear wrinkles, but no splits, tears or writing.
