Beatles 'Rubber Soul'- 1966 Mono pressing. Lovely audio and record!
Laminated Flipback Garrod & Lofthouse Mono Sleeve
Yellow / Black Labels with 'THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD' around the rim and 'Sold in the UK' text.

CONDITION-
SLEEVE: overall VG
front- Iconic first generation quality EJ Day mono cover. Very clean and firm showing off those psychedelic reds, greens and browns. 2 very mild opening marks. Had it not have been for the 3 sticker removal marks this would have been graded excellent. Spine is basically flawless and there are no storage scruffs to the edges of the flip back. VG+
back- Back cover is clean, unfaded and robust. No hint of ring wear at all and the flip backs are in lovely shape. Some discolouration due to ageing and someone has written the individual track lengths next to the songs in biro for some bizarre reason, please see pics. Still in presentable shape. VG-
VINYL: overall VG+
Beautiful jet black sheen. At first sight side one looks unplayed and would rate a strong excellent! On close inspection just a few needle marks can be made out. Side two has graded lower as it contains quite a few superficial scuffs which barely sound during the songs themselves. See audio section below.
Under strong lamp light this record shows almost no sleeve removal marks to side one or side 2. There are absolutely no feelable scratches.
Overall, the ideal playing copy.
LABELS: VG+
This record has been very carefully played by its owner. No names, stains and the spindle whole is almost completely free of whitening. The stylish 1960's Parlophone labels are bold, clean and the silver font clear. This record has the bare minimum of spindle marks to both sides.
AUDIO- EX-
The lovely depth of well kept 1960's mono records on thick quality vinyl throughout. This record has the added bonus of benefiting from the corrected mono mix fresh from the first available mothers and stampers (1R/1R).
Side one is beautifully clear with just a brief hint of crackle on 'Michelle' but still the beautifully warm vocals and George's delicate lead more than make up for it. No distortion on louder tracks 'Drive My Car' and 'The Word', just that funky baseline those brilliant harmonies.
Side two is similar. All parts warm, rich and clear. Silent into all tracks with just the mildest of crackle during 'In My Life'.
Overall- no distortion throughout and absolutely no pops, clicks, sticks or jumps. The very bare minimum of mild crackle as mentioned which does not detract from the album. The Beatles in their prime and a joy to hear.

When sending- the record and inner sleeves will be separated from their outer sleeves and placed in poly sleeves. The record and poly sleeve will also be placed in a thick master sleeve to ensure the best protection possible.
This will then be carefully mailed to you with cardboard stiffners to add increased protection to the package.
