Description Up for auction is The Beatles - Rubber Soul original Capitol Record Pressing.
This is the original Capitol Records pressing of Rubber Soul. It is still in the factory shrink but has been opened to remove the record. The "Hear Paul sing "Michelle" Original Beatles Version" sticker is in place and in what I would call perfect condition. It has the "New Improved" stereo logo printed in browns in the color portion of the cover. There are very slight corner dents and some light edge wear on the sleeve where it has been opened. It is in otherwise great shape with the shrink covering most of it.
The vinyl is in great condition with some light scratches. It is the rainbow Capitol label. The names of the members and not the band are on the label. The Stereo printing on the label goes only up to the number of the track.
The inner sleeve is green with advertising for other Capitol Record releases. It is split on all sides to some degree. I would say at least half of the side starting from the center on all sides is open. There are creases in two of the corners as well.
With the color and position of the stereo logo on the sleeve, the label printing variation and the yellow sticker I believe this to be the first pressing.
I do not grade my vinyl recordings but I do describe them to the best of my ability. I do not have the ability to play these so I cannot comment on the sound quality. I would be happy to inspect them further and photograph close-ups of details I missed in my initial posting. Please email me with any questions or concerns before bidding.
