The Beatles - Rubber Soul
(Parlophone PMC 1267 UK LP 1965)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. This is the earliest UK "Loud Cut" pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which is printed by "Garrod & Lofthouse". It comes with its original tracing-paper lined "Emitex" company inner sleeve.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. They have "The Gramophone Co. Ltd..."and "Sold in UK..." texts. The record has 1st press XEX 579-1 and XEX 580-1 matrix numbers. The mother stampers are AR 4 and AR 4 respectively.
This is a genuine UK Mono 1st Pressing LP. It has the earliest -1/ -1 matrix numbers. This is known as the "Loud Cut" pressing. It features a different mix to all other Mono pressings. These are not that common. This is very good audio copy too.
Sleeve: There is a mild stain on the rear sleeve in the top right corner. This also runs along the side flipback to a lesser extent. There is a very small number written on the rear sleeve. There is some light or mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light or very mild rubbing wear at the sleeve opening. There is a tiny bit of wear to the top flipback. There is some light ringwear too. VG condition
Vinyl: There are some light to mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are some light hairline marks which are primarily on Side 2. Three are quite long. Two measure about 8.5 cm and the longest is 13-14 cm in length. They are very light & do not affect playback at all. There are 5-6 smaller hairline marks. These measure 1 cm to 4 cm. Again, these are mainly on Side 2. VG- condition. The labels are in VG+ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. The Emitex company inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light to mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG++ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in many places. There is some light or very mild crackle in a few quieter places.
