The Beatles - Rubber Soul
(Parlophone PMC 1267 UK LP 1965)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. This is the earliest UK "Loud Cut" pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which is printed by "Garrod & Lofthouse". It comes with its original tracing-paper lined "Emitex" company inner sleeve.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. They have "The Gramophone Co. Ltd..."and "Sold in UK..." texts. The record has 1st press XEX 579-1 and XEX 580-1 matrix numbers. The mother stampers are GDT 5 and GDO 8 respectively.
This is a genuine UK Mono 1st Pressing LP. It has the earliest -1/ -1 matrix numbers. This is known as the "Loud Cut" pressing. It features a different mix to all other Mono pressings. These are not that common.
Sleeve: There is a mild to more moderate fading to the rear sleeve. There is a very small 0.5 cm seam split at the bottom opening. There is a 0.5 cm tear at the front sleeve opening also. There is some light or mild rubbing wear at the sleeve opening. There is some mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light or mild ringwear too. VG condition
Vinyl: There are some light, mild or more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are about 4 or 5 light hairline marks. These measure from 1 cm to 4 cm in length. VG- condition. The labels are in VG+ condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. The Emitex company inner sleeve is in VG condition. There is some light to mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There is a very small (2 cm to 3 cm) seam split at the very centre of all three sides.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are a few mild clicks at the start of one track on Side 1.
