Description

On offer here is a First Pressing “Loud Cut” copy of Rubber Soul by The Beatles, released on the Parlophone label in 1965, catalogue number PMC 1267.

This is a Mono pressing.

The single sleeve, made by Garrod & Lofthouse, is front laminated and unlaminated on the back. The flipbacks are clean, the back has a couple of age spots which give away the fact that it’s 57 years old.

I would rate this as Very Good Plus.

The heavyweight vinyl has some hairlines and scuffs caused by the record catching the spindle, mostly on Side One.

I have played this all the way through on my high end system ( Gyrodec, SME series 1V arm, Naim Pre / Power amps, and there are a few light clicks mainly in between some of the tracks, certainly once the music starts any unwanted is not heard. As a first press it sounds great.

So, visually I would rate as Very Good, sonically it varies between Very Good and Excellent, overall I would class as Very Good Plus.

The matrix numbers are XEX 579 - 1 and XEX 580 - 1

Please note I use the Record Collector grading system

The record will be securely packed in a professional Record Mailer made by Covers 33 as used by most Record Mail Order companies. It will be sent within five days of receiving cleared payment.
