RARE, UK FIRST ISSUE Parlophone EXPORT ONLY Vinyl LP for THE BEATLES SECOND ALBUM, released in a VERY SMALL QUANTITY in 1966 for **EXPORT SALES ONLY**.
This RARE 1st Issue UK EXPORT Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone label, with 'Gramophone Co Ltd' label rim, 'Made in Gt Britain', and the export catalogue number ‘CPCS 103’ printed to both record labels, and without the usual ‘Sold in UK….’ label text statement as the album was issued for Export purposes only.
Both sides of the record labels are in STRONG excellent condition, BRIGHT labels, UNFADED text showing a few light centre spider trails to either side.
The Official side 1 Export matrix is YEEX 110-A9/ and Side 2: YEEX 111-A9.
Side 1 stampers are: '1G, and side 2: 1/G.
There is an embossed MT tax/price code to the centre of the side 2 record label.
Visually both sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl disc are in IMPRESSIVE excellent plus condition. The Vinyl is exceptionally CLEAN and BRIGHT with no more than a few light surface hairlines. There is a small scratch to the first track to side 1, which produces a light click (see scan provided). Other than that the album plays EXCEPTIONALLY WELL through all the tracks – A very STRONG, POWERFUL Stereo sound.
The album comes in its ORIGINAL Lined ‘Use Emitex…’ Inner bag which is RESPECTABLE example showing inevitable mild creasing and age toning, but NO seam splits, tearing or handwriting.
…And is protected in an ORIGINAL First Issue Garrod & Lofthouse Laminated Sleeve printed with the export catalogue number ‘CPCS 103’ to the reverse of the sleeve.
The sleeve is in very good plus condition. The front panel maintains a HIGH GLOSS SHINE with only mild age tanning and mild record indentation. The reverse of the sleeve shows mild age tanning and the previous owners name neatly hand written in ink to the top right corner. All edges and the spine are undamaged and spine wording ‘The Beatles Second Album’ clearly legible.
Overall a RESPECTABLE example of this RARE and SELDOM SEEN FIRST ISSUE Beatles UK EXPORT album.
