THE BEATLES - 'SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
1969 UK 'ONE EMI BOX' *MONO* PRESSING
**NEAR MINT + APPLE PROMO POSTER**
This extremely rare 1969 UK MONO pressing is on the UK 'One EMI Box' label: PMC 7027
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
(Both sides play in mono)
The cover is a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono gatefold cover with internal 'flipbacks'.
Complete with original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve and cut-out sheet.
This copy also comes with its original full colour 'Apple Catalogue' poster (42cms x 24.5cms).
Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper numbers: 2/MPG & 9/MOL

Both sides appear in MINT when viewed in strong daylight, with no groove-whitening or dulling to either surface from improper long-term storage.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few wispy inner-sleeve storage/paper hairlines but no other wear.
Hard to upgrade this copy.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This superb copy has clearly received just a few careful plays on top quality equipment.
All tracks on both sides plays cleanly & clearly and without any trace of any background noise or groovewear distortion.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently & there are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults.
Even the usually worn 'She's Leaving Home' plays without the usual break-up or wear.
The final piano chord fades without any major wear or faults.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A vibrant, high-gloss, unscratched front lamiante panel bearing no spine or 'thumbnail' wrinkles or any other creasing.
The corners are all clean and square harp & all opening edges are sharp and undamaged.
The rear panel is as clean and glossy as the front with just a single small wrinkle on the upper edge but no other wear.
The inside of the gatefold is 'as new' and had clearly not been opened in many years. (I have not attempted to open it fully).
The spine's is fully laminated and unsquashed and all the text is clear & readable.
All seams are unstressed & unsplit.
Poster: EXCELLENT PLUS
Factory folded with just light crease to the upper-right corner, but no pin-holes, tears or missing paper.
Cut-out sheet: MINT
