Description
Sgt Pepper 1967 Stereo PCS 7027 Wide Spine some 8mm thick 1st Stereo pressing as released 1st June 1967 in UK The Gramophone Co and Sold in the UK..... label text Matrix Nos are YEX 637-1 and YEX 638-1 Side One Mothers 2 R + Side Two 2 M KT Tax Code to Side One A few very wispy spindle marks do not detract from the overall very well cared for condition. Audio is perfect with no skips or jumps A lovely collectible copy of this groundbreaking Beatles LP which on 1st June celebrates its 50th Birthday ! Expect lots of publicity about Sgt Pepper from the press around that date Its becoming increasingly difficult to find well cared for Excellent examples like this one. I was tempted to keep but I also have one in same condition missing Day In The Life from label which I`m holding on to. Nobody seems to know why these Wide Spines exist but the most popular theory is the items on Cut Out were originally going to be physical objects as specified by The Beatles + the Wide Spines were issued to accommodate the objects that EMI eventually printed onto card thus saving a manufacturing headache ! That to me seems the most plausible explanation either way they are quite rare Posting Immediate Will Post Worldwide
