Description
The Beatles Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band 1st Press UK vinyl record on Yellow/Black Parlophone label with sold in UK text across top of labels.
Vinyl is in VG condition - there are surface marks and hairlines on both sides but no deep scratches. Plays through without skips or jumps just the odd pop and crackles especially during the quiet bits - but sound is sharp and crisp even on she's leaving home which usually suffers. Matrix numbers are side 1 = XEX 637-1 (2 ROA stampers) and side 2 XEX678-1 (4 GLL). The labels are clean no writing and minimal spindle marks. Original fool red and white inner sleeve is present but delicate - seam splits and small coffee ring on one side - opening is feathery - so vinyl is housed in a separate white poly-lined inner sleeve to protect the fool inner.
Cut out is also present - no writing and sharp corners.
Outer fully laminated gatefold sleeve also in good condition - no writing just edge wear/rounding of corners - printed and made by Garrod and Lofthouse - spine is intactbut text a bit worn - see photos.
Overall very good example of 1st press UK classic.
