1969 UK *2nd MONO* PRESSING LP

On the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7027

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.

There is no tax/price code is visible in the centre of either label.

Housed in a regular fully laminated, inner-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.

Complete with its original plain white 'Patent Nos..' inner-sleeve & unused cut-out sheet.

Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1

Stamper numbers: 4/RLG & 1,9/MGM

Disc weight: 139g

Labels: 1. VERY GOOD +

Both are clean & bright but have numerous light spindle trails to each centre hole.

Visual: VERY GOOD

Both sides of this disc are clean, bright & glossy with just a few light surface marks in strong daylight but no major blemishes. Close & careful inspection directly under my unforgiving powerful halogen light reveals numerous light marks consistent with frequent play but again, nothing major.

Play: VERY GOOD +

Despite frequent play, there is no significant lessening to the sound quality to any part of this superior sounding mono disc. Apart from slight wear on 'She's Leaving Home' I found no other signs of playwear. There are also no clicks, pops, jumps or any other such major faults anywhere.

Cover

VERY GOOD +

A strong & vibrant example with with just light/normal handling & storagewear but no major faults. The front panel is clean & bright with no 'thumbnails' or any other discernable wear. There is some light rubbing to the corners & opening edge but no tears to any. The inside is clean & totally undamaged & the rear panel is also clean & bright with just a few tiny 'thumbnails' but no other significant signs of wear. There is slight wear to the spine but all seams are fully intact and undamaged.

Slight edge & storage wear, but no major faults.

Inner-sleeve

VERY GOOD

General storagwear with a stamp and number on one side.

Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
