Description

For sale is a complete and original MONO UK 1st pressing of The Beatles eighth studio album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
This copy has a very unique 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse laminated gatefold sleeve which features both the very desirable WIDE SPINE and the extremely rare 'PATENTS PENDING' notice on the rear. The vinyl has the 1st variation black and yellow Parlophone labels with KT tax code stamped in the centre. The album comes complete with the original red and white wavy inner sleeve designed by The Fool art collective and the cut-out insert sheet designed by Peter Blake.

Condition:
Vinyl: EXCELLENT-

Visually the vinyl is glossy and clean. Only a handful of subtle marks can be picked up. The labels are bright, clean and without writing. EXCELLENT. The audio is superb! There are quiet lead-ins to both sides and no noise in between tracks. There is a 2 second hiss on 'When I'm Sixty Four'. There is great channel separation, clear vocals and punchy bass. There are no pops, skips or jumps. EXCELLENT-.


Sleeve: EXCELLENT-
The sleeve looks great. All sides retain a glossy finish with bright colours. There is no sign of ring wear, fully readable wide-spine with only subtle wear, top and bottom edge without wear, and corners with very mild rounding. 
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT-
The original red and white wavy 'fools inner' sleeve looks great. It has subtle stain to both sides at the open edge, no discolouration and shows only minimal creasing EXCELLENT-. The cut-out insert is NEAR MINT. Also included in the sale is an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve to help protect and preserve the fantastic record. 

This record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
