CONDITION-

SLEEVE: VG

front- Iconic first generation mono cover. Very clean thick sleeve with no fading that has been well looked after. The spine is lovely and readable with very limited storage scuffs in evidence. There are a few opening marks but overall this cover is very presentable.

middle- Bold, unfaded and clean with an almost complete absence of ringwear. The mildest of opening marks to the right panel where the record was kept and all opening edges are free from significant tears, splits or frays. Only a written name (sadly not one of The Beatles) on the top left flip back prevent this cover from an VG+ grading.

back- The first issue back cover is clean, bold and unsoiled. A few mild open marks and a minor crease to the bottom right corner are all that can be seen. A clean and well kept copy.

VINYL: VG-

Beautiful jet black sheen on thick quality first pressing vinyl. Both sides of the record have several needle marks but no deep feelable scratches. Under strong lamp light this record shows moderate paper scuffs to both sides. The curse of the original paper inner sleeves!

Overall, a clean, original and serviceable copy of this fantastic album in The Beatles' chosen mono mix.

LABELS: VG-

This record labels are in lovely condition. There are no names, stains and the spindle wholes have only light whitening. The stylish 1960's Parlophone labels are bold, clean and the silver font is clear. Moderate spindle marks show that this copy has been well enjoyed but carefully.

AUDIO- VG

The record has the depth and warmth that only comes from 1960's first pressings on thick quality vinyl. The record has no distortion or loud pops, clicks, sticks or jumps throughout. There is crackle evident during some of the quieter parts of the album but this doesn't seriously detract from it. 'Lucy', 'Getting Better', 'She's Leaving Home', 'When I'm 64' and 'Lovely Rita' and 'Good Morning' sound fantastic, in some places EX. The record is still a joy to hear in The Beatles' chosen mono mix and especially with its 50th anniversary just around the corner.

Please note that this copy doesn't include the red inner sleeve or cut out sheet.

Happy bidding.
