Description
I am selling part of my vinyl collection which has been accumulated over the years. I am not a dealer but have realised that if I pass these records on they will not be appreciated for what they are.
So on offer here is a great copy of Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles, released in Mono on the Parlophone record label in 1967 catalogue number PMC 7027
The gatefold laminated sleeve has the inner flipbacks and is in at least Excellent condition, arguably better
The Sgt Pepper cutout insert is in unspoilt Near Mint condition
The red and white inner is creased but unsplit, in Very Good condition
I cleaned this through my Okki Nokki Record Cleaning Machine before listening
The vinyl has retained its sheen and I played this all the way through on my high end system ( Michell Gyrodec SME arm,Naim 52 preamp and 135 power amps into Bowers and Wilkins 802 Nautilus speakers) at high volume to remind me of the grading and the mono sound was Excellent to Excellent plus.
There was a second or two of very light crackle due to a very light mark , not a scratch, probably caused by the spindle catching the record between the tracks A Little Help From My Friends and Lucy InThe Sky with Diamonds and Fixing A Hole but it was literally a second or two, mentioned for completeness.
The matrix numbers are XEX 637 -1 GGA and XEX 638-1 GD not sure if it is D or O
The labels are clean with some spindle marks
Please note I use the Record Collector Grading system
This is an overall Excellent Plus copy of this classic album
The record will be sent in a professional record mailer with two stiffeners used by on line record shops
